Monday Lunch at MSC

Posted: July 7, 2014 by John McCauley in Jr. Week

Lunch at MSC Junior Camp is always spirited.  The kids are excited from the morning games and hungry for the great lunch prepared by our wonderful kitchen staff.  Today we enjoyed our compadres leading our campers in song and prayer before the meal.

Just so you know.  Our lunch today consisted of:

  • 300 Grilled hot dogs
  • 14 lbs of cheese cubes
  • 16 bags of chips
  • 200 bowls of pudding

WOW!  What a meal!

We also had some great awards given away today.

The “Golden Dust Pan Awards” honoring the cleanest boy cabin and the cleanest girl cabin were announced at lunch. Cabin 5 girls and Cabin 7 boys won the awards and will each have the honor of displaying their golden dust pan trophy in their cabin for the next 24 hours until the next judging round.

The first “Paper Plate Award” was given out at lunch.  Last night in the middle of all our activities Avery Hosfield asked her team captain, Danny Elkins, if she could “go back to her cabin to shower because she was hot.”  Due to that request Avery was honored  with the “Hygiene Award.”

Rachel and Hailey and the rest of cabin 5 girls Great job! Rachel, if you can have the cleanest cabin at camp, I assume we can expect that at home too right 😉

The singing sounds beautiful! Keep up the good work!
